I’m hastily putting up some photos and will get back to this to link enlargements. Bourges was my first day trip out of Vierzon, as I expected it to be the most interesting, and it was. It’s a good-sized city and seems to have many thriving businesses. I liked it well enough to keep it in my list of areas for home searching.
Just to put this region in your mind: you may not know of the places I chose to visit, but you will recognize others in this region Centre-Val de Loire. Naming its main towns, in order of population rank: Tours, Orléans, Bourges, Blois, Châteauroux, Chartres. Bourges is the prefecture of the département of Cher.
